A&D Representatives’ Information Session at Hospital Clínico San Carlos
On 5 February 2026, more than 400 professionals gathered at Hospital Clínico San Carlos during the visit of the OECI evaluation team, marking an important step in the hospital’s journey toward Comprehensive Cancer Center (CINOC) designation within the OECI Accreditation & Designation Programme.
The session was opened by Hospital Director General César Gómez Derch, who placed the accreditation process within the broader strategic development of the institution. Contributions from Pedro Pérez Segura, Head of the Medical Oncology Department, and Simon Oberst, Director of Quality and Accreditation at OECI, further outlined the objectives and framework of the A&D Programme. The strong attendance clearly reflected the centre’s collective commitment to strengthening governance, integration and quality of cancer care in line with European standards.
