New researcher for EurocanPlatform: Frédérique Thonon, PhD

From September 2011 onwards, Frédérique Thonon is the new project officer for IGR accreditation and researcher for the EurocanPlatform WP12 Part 2: Scientometrics of translational programs developed within the platform.

Frédérique is a graduate in Social Policy from the University of York, UK and holds a Master of Public Health. She has worked in a health promotion organisation and at the French National AIDS council, where she undertook research about HIV testing among migrants in France and HIV prevention for sex workers and contributed to the redaction of a report about the national AIDS plan.

Frédérique joined the Institut Gustave Roussy in 2011, originally working at the social science research unit before moving to the European and International Affairs service in September, while still working part-time for the social science unit. Aside from her work for EurocanPlatform and OECI, she is involved in a study evaluating the recruitment of patients into clinical trials.
